Rachel Carter, Specialist Eating Disorders Dietitian
Rachel is a Specialist Dietitian with over 14 years of clinical experience supporting adults, adolescents, and families affected by eating disorders. She has extensive expertise working across inpatient, outpatient, community, and virtual treatment settings, helping individuals navigate recovery from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder (BED), ARFID, OSFED, and disordered eating.
Rachel's approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. She works closely with clients to develop a safer, more flexible relationship with food, supporting nutritional rehabilitation while addressing the emotional and behavioural factors that can maintain eating difficulties. Her work combines practical nutritional guidance with therapeutic engagement, helping clients build confidence around eating and achieve sustainable recovery.
Alongside individual dietetic support, Rachel has significant experience working within multidisciplinary teams, coordinating care with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, GPs, and families to ensure a holistic treatment approach. She is particularly skilled in supporting complex and high-risk presentations, including refeeding and nutritional restoration, whilst maintaining a person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused perspective.
