Dr Georgina Chan, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr Georgina Chan is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with extensive experience assessing and treating children, adolescents and young adults with a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties. She has particular expertise in ADHD and autism, including diagnostic assessment, medication titration and ongoing treatment planning.
Georgina has worked across both NHS and independent services, including Kingston CAMHS, the Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service, National Deaf CAMHS and specialist eating disorder services. Her approach is thoughtful, collaborative and evidence-based, with a focus on building a clear understanding of each young person’s needs and working closely with families to support lasting progress.
Alongside her psychiatric training, Georgina holds a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from the University of Oxford and an MSc with Distinction in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from UCL. This breadth of training informs a holistic approach to care, particularly where emotional wellbeing, behaviour, lifestyle and developmental factors intersect.
Georgina is on the GMC Specialist Register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and has additional training in ADOS-2, ADI-R and 3di. She is known for her calm, compassionate style and for helping young people and their families feel understood, informed and supported throughout assessment and treatment.
