EATING DISORDERS & DISORDERED EATING

TREATMENT AT THE SOKE

At The Soke, we provide evidence-based care for individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating. We understand that struggles with food and self-worth are complex and that recovery is about healing both mind and body in a supportive environment.

Our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) aims to help a wide range of clients, from those that are functioning with aspects of disordered eating to those that are more complex, The MDT is supported by a team of Consultant Psychiatrists with varied areas of special interest, assessing and managing any medical and psychiatric risks.

Whether you or your child are seeking early support or navigating a long-standing relationship with an eating disorder, you’ll find a space here that is focused on lasting change. We’re committed to helping clients rebuild a healthy relationship with food one step at a time, at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

OUR APPROACH

The service is set up to support clients and families looking to access support for the first time right through to those being discharged from higher intensity, daycare and residential services and already in recovery.

The Soke provides an accessible environment for comprehensive, holistic and systemic assessments, identifying both the primary eating disorder as well as any associated comorbidities. After assessment, the MDT actively supports clients and their families to safely navigate their options, accessing individualised treatment pathways and psychoeducational support. Some clients will require more intensive, daycare residential services. Working with The Soke’s Client Services Team, the MDT will help clients access the right options whilst supporting families during treatment in the UK or abroad.

Depending on the individual’s needs, condition and presentation, the MDT can work with clients from age 11, on a 1:1 basis as well as in couples and families, or in the form of specialist group support, both in person and online.
