Dr Patrick Kennedy-Williams, Clinical Psychologist

As a clinical psychologist, Dr Patrick Kennedy-Williams works with adolescents, adults, and older populations, providing both assessments and treatments for a range of mental health difficulties.  An expert in clinical health psychology and paediatric issues affecting older children, Patrick’s specialisms include the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, and depression. He also treats clients with neurodevelopmental issues including autism, ADHD, and other forms of neurodiversity.

Working with high-functioning professionals, Patrick provides work-related psychology and occupational wellbeing support.  With a focus on climate and existential psychology, he also helps individuals, educational institutions, and businesses to manage climate distress and to communicate effectively about the climate crisis.

Alongside his work at The Soke, Patrick is founding director of Climate Psychologists and of Mind & Planet, a climate empowerment programme that engages in all areas where planetary health and mental health intersect. He is also author of You Are Unstoppable!: How to Understand Your Feelings about Climate Change and Take Positive Action Together and Turn the tide on climate anxiety: sustainable action for your mental health and the planet.

Patrick holds a DClinPsy Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oxford, where he also teaches and supervises doctoral research.
