Dr Natasha Sutherland, Counselling Psychologist

Dr Natasha Sutherland is a Senior Counselling Psychologist with over 12 years’ clinical experience working in eating disorders and mental health.

Natasha specialises in treating adolescents and adults on the eating disorders’ spectrum, as well as those dealing with common co-morbid difficulties such as depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD and autism. Natasha offers a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and the Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA).

She has extensive clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient services, working as a senior clinician within one of the largest NHS eating disorders' clinics in the UK. She also holds the position of Research Champion for eating disorders within the Trust, co-ordinating and supporting large-scale eating disorder research studies in partnership with leading educational institutions, such as UCL, Imperial, and King’s College.

Natasha completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at UCL. She then went on to obtain a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy. Following this, she undertook her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City, University of London, from which she gained HCPC registration as a Counselling Psychologist and Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society (CPsychol).

Natasha is known for the strong therapeutic relationships she is able to develop with her clients. Her treatment plans are individually tailored to meet their precise, unique needs, and she always encourages them to capitalise on their existing strengths and connect with their values, goals and resources for recovery. Immensely dedicated to client wellbeing, Natasha uses her compassionate understanding to create a warm and empathic treatment space.
